This Isn't Just My Story.
It's My Calling.

Behind every framework,

every coaching session and

every client I serve —

there's a journey that shaped it all.

Why I Started
Coaching

Helping others has always come naturally to me;

not by giving more advice, but by helping people

make sense of what they already know.

Over the years, I noticed something important:

most people aren't stuck because they lack information.

They're stuck because they don't know how to apply it

in real life — especially when emotions,

responsibilities and life pressures get in the way.

That's why I became a coach — not just in money,

but in life, career and business.

My work is about helping people move forward with

clarity, confidence and control —

without overwhelm, guilt or pressure.

My Story

A Single Mom. A Daughter Who Changed Everything.

A Mission Born From Both.

CHAPTER 1: Where It Began

I've been a financial advisor for over 13 years — but my journey into this work didn't begin with numbers or credentials.

It began with loss. Responsibility. Survival.

And somewhere along the way, it became my calling — not just my work.

Long before that, I was a young woman growing up in the Philippines — the youngest of three sisters in a middle-class family.

Life was simple. Steady. Until it wasn't.

CHAPTER 2: The Moment Everything Changed

While I was in university, my world shifted overnight.

I lost my mother to kidney failure. At the same time, my father lost his job during the economic crisis of the 1990s. Our family faced overwhelming financial strain — struggling to pay for a kidney transplant, weekly dialysis, and basic needs.

There were days I couldn't even afford transportation to school.

My mother suffered for only a year before she passed away.

Nine years later, our family faced another devastating loss. We lost our father too — to a tragic death in our own home. Thieves took his life.

After his passing, we discovered something we never knew: he had accumulated significant credit card debt — silently, alone, carrying it because he didn't want us to worry.

That discovery broke my heart in a way I still can't fully describe. Because it wasn't just about the debt. It was about the silence — the pressure he must have carried, completely alone.

I understood that silence more than anyone. I had felt it too.

CHAPTER 3: Migrating to Canada

In 2008, I made the decision to migrate to Canada.

I left behind everything familiar — my home, my language, the version of life I'd always known — to build something new, somewhere I had no roadmap for.

Starting over is never just logistics. It's grief for a life you're choosing to leave, even when leaving is the right choice. But after everything I had already survived, I knew, somehow, that I could handle building a life from nothing.

I just didn't yet know how much that strength would be tested again.

CHAPTER 4: Becoming a Mother

A year later, in 2009, I gave birth to my daughter, Geri.

This was also a big challenge — finding out about her condition when I was five months pregnant, and being asked to consider whether we would keep or terminate the pregnancy. It was one of the hardest, most defining moments of my life.

Nothing prepares you for a decision like that. Not university. Not a career in finance. Not years of "having it together." Just love, fear, and a choice that would shape everything that came after.

I chose her. And in choosing her, I became someone new — someone whose entire world would reorganize itself around protecting this one small, extraordinary life.

CHAPTER 5: Becoming a Single Mom

In 2018, I got separated. I filed for divorce in 2026, and it's still ongoing today.

Suddenly, I wasn't just managing my own life — I was solely responsible for another person's future. Her healthcare. Her education. Her long-term care. Her financial security long after I'm gone. All of it landed on me, alone.

I remember lying awake doing the math in my head — not spreadsheets, just fear. What happens to her if something happens to me? Who will take care of her the way I do? Have I done enough?

There was no partner to split that weight with anymore. No safety net waiting to catch me. Just me, my daughter, and a future I had to build with my own two hands.

I've felt what it means to put everyone else first and quietly tell yourself you'll deal with your own needs later. And I've learned that "later" often becomes years.

CHAPTER 6: This Is My Calling

What hurt the most wasn't just the hardship. It was realizing how much could have been different with clarity, structure, and support.

I refuse to let other women — especially women carrying it all alone, like I was — feel that same isolation.

I entered this industry not to sell products or overwhelm people with information, but because I know exactly what it feels like to be the only one responsible, with no one else to lean on.

If I could build financial security as a single mom raising a daughter with Down syndrome — with everything stacked against me — I can help you build yours too.

This isn't optional for me. It's personal. It's my calling.

My Passion

Financial Empowerment
Losing both my parents early taught me how fragile financial security can be —

and how much pain could have been avoided with the right structure and support.

Self-Empowerment
Being a mom to a daughter with special needs means teaching her that being different is okay...

that having special needs isn't a disability, it's a gift.

Every day, I work to help her build her own sense of self-empowerment.

Women Empowerment
My own experience navigating separation and divorce showed me something important:

whether a woman is happily married or on her own, she deserves the ability to support herself.

It's not selfish to love yourself, to refuse to put yourself on the backburner and to be financially independent.

I've seen too many women stay in relationships that no longer serve them simply because they're financially dependent on their partner.

Money isn't everything — but it gives you options and freedom to act when you need to.
